We all have seen this iconic scene from Back to the Future 2 (one of my favorites):
Well, now…we’re getting closer!
Back in June, Lexus announced they made a functioning HOVERBOARD, but the video they posted didn’t really show it in action.
But they released a longer video yesterday that shows a bunch of people trying it out at a skate park in Spain. And it looks like it really does work . . . but it’s not quite up to par with the one in the film.
This one uses super-magnets that have to be chilled to 300-degrees below zero. And the entire skate park they filmed it at ALSO had magnets built into it.
So it wouldn’t work if you tried to ride it down a regular sidewalk. But the video is still pretty cool.
