A new spinoff series based on Luke Grimes’ character Kayce Dutton from Yellowstone is in early development at CBS. The show will focus on Kayce’s past as a Navy SEAL, with SEAL Team showrunner Spencer Hudnut leading the project. Grimes has expressed interest in reprising his role, but acknowledges the challenges of continuing Kayce’s story after the events of Yellowstone Season 5. This would be the latest spinoff series from creator Taylor Sheridan, known for his neo-Western genre, with other Yellowstone spinoffs also in the works.
