With so many people at home right now because of COVID-19, online traffic has slowed down the internet.
Whether it’s working remotely, online school, gaming or downloading videos, broadband speeds have decreased by 4.9 percent nationwide.
According to Broadband Now, median download speeds in New York have dropped by 24 percent. It’s even worse in San Jose, California where median download speeds dropped by 38 percent. Those are two examples of a bigger issue across the country.
This is a worldwide problem as well. Internet speeds in China, Italy, Spain, and Germany also have been hard hit by the pandemic.
Have you noticed slower speeds?
