Shooter on the run
Police are still looking for 24 year old Austin Boutain, in connection with the shooting that happened at the U of U at about 9 p.m. that left one dead.
Acording to KSL a woman reported that Boutain assaulted her. She told police she believed he had a gun, according to the University of Utah Police Chief Dale Brophy. Detectives believe the pair had been camping in the canyon.
Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Brandon Shearer said “I wouldn’t call it an active shooter situation, but there is still a suspect who’s armed and dangerous that we would like to take into custody,”

Classes have been canceled for today at The University of Utah.
