In honor of Kenny’s concert, here are the Top 7 Kenny Chesney Music Videos (according to me). Disagree? Tweet me @jonwatkinshost
7. THERE GOES MY LIFE
Classic Kenny! From the white shirt to the black hat. Not to mention, this was the year that I got into Country music as an intern at KZLA and actually met Kenny Chesney! The great thing about this video is that it actually follows along with the lyrics. Also as a Dad, I can never get through it without shedding a tear.
6. COME OVER
What happens when you try to make a Kenny Chesney music video look like something that I would have done in Film School? You get the video for “Come Over”! This is classic dramatic Kenny, all the way down to the entire video being shot in black and white.
5. WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN
A clown car filled with bikini girls? That’s how this video starts! You add in a cameo from Uncle Kracker and actual concert footage of Kenny playing to small clubs and this video is as fun as the song! Although I’m not sure how smart it is to have a microphone in the middle of the ocean…
4. YOU AND TEQUILLA
Do I love this music video or this song? Well…both! Let’s start with the beautiful Grace Potter not only providing the vocals but also an appearance. The shots themselves are perfect with a mixture of gritty beach shots and flawless bedroom scenes. If you’ve been to a Keny Chesney concert- then you’ve seen this!
3. THE BOYS OF FALL
What can I say, every Football season I like to watch this one! Kenny grabbed a bunch of his football friends and had them recap their favorite memories of High School football. Warning…it’s a long one (over 8 minutes)!
2. AMERICAN KIDS
Why “American Kids”? Because it’s so different than the other ones! This is Kenny Chesney and a group of hippies dancing in the desert. Enough said.
1. BIG STAR
Shocked by this choice? Trust me, I understand. I love how cheesy and old school parts of this video are. Plus it’s one of my favorite Kenny Chesney songs!!!
