Someone tweeted the question to Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. It said, “My son just asked the toughest question that I ever had to answer as a father…’Can a lightsaber cut through Captain America’s shield?'”
Hamill responded, “In the Marvel Universe, NO. In the Star Wars universe, Luke wouldn’t fight a hero, but if asked to do so, he could cut it into a million pieces.”
Captain America Chris Evans saw the response and had he own take. Evans said, “Foolish. Now I have Vibranium ninja stars.”
