Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, made a notable appearance at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, showcasing their strong ties with former President Donald Trump. The country music power couple was prominently seated alongside Trump in his box on Thursday night, engaging in conversation and shaking hands throughout the event.
Other country music stars, including Chris Janson, Brian Kelley, and Lee Greenwood, also made appearances at the convention. Kid Rock took the stage to perform just before Trump delivered his speech.
Aldean’s presence at the RNC comes on the heels of his vocal support for Trump following an assassination attempt on the former president on July 13. Following the convention, Aldean was scheduled to perform a private concert at a local casino, an event confirmed by RNC Chair Reince Priebus. It remains unclear whether Donald Trump or Melania Trump attended the concert.
In his address, Trump praised Aldean and acknowledged his significant role in country music, quipping, “I like his wife even better, by the way.”
